**EW1299 VINTAGE GOLD FILLED HOOP FOR EARRINGS   Yellow Gold or White Gold color, for thru ear beading or to use as hoops.
Size is 1 1/2 inches. Very fine spring wire holds its shape. Hoops were meant to go thru the ear; they are Gold Filled wire, not base metal wire. American Made, not Chinese, old stock, and you can depend on the GF quality.
The ear nuts are plated brass.
The very fine wire is 21 gauge and less than 1mm (it is .71mm)and will take very tiny size 8 or even 10 Seed Beads (see picture). The Turquoise Hoop has 2mm Sterling Beads.
Thread beads onto wire and then finish as you like; Best: use it as an earring hoop and thread on tiny seed beads with other beads. See pictures for ideas.
The back of the hoop is the open end; the front of the hoop goes thru the ear and is held on by the nut. The back of the hoop sits in place without attaching it to anything(weird).
The wire has a spring to it and will hold its shape unless you re-shape or re-purpose it, for example to wrap around a part with no hole. Or use it as a dangling hoop, with one or more hoops dropped down. Dangle a beaded hoop off a necklace, or use it as a choker centerpiece. This is a very versatile jewelry finding, limited only by your imagination.
